It has to be said that this was very much a caving holiday, not an expedition – but what a fantastic holiday, with so many top caves visited.
The Crew
Lisa Bates (Methven). John Methven, Chris Szabady, Andy Rumming, Esther Thackeray, Nick Fairclough, Tim Morgan, Alexandra Weber, Tom Foord. And some fine pairs of trousers.
Transport
Transit Van & Cars
Accommodation
Speleocamp Laze, owned by local caver Franc Facija. Laze is well situated, and many caves in the Ian Bishop guide are in walking distance from camp

In addition to the diary documented trips we also had a fantastic day walking up Triglav the highest of the Julian Alps.
On the final day of the holiday a few of us we visited “aragonite cave” (Jama pri Sv. Treh kraljih, Cave of the Three Kings). A man made tunnel enters into a cave with some fine formations.
